Our BHA peeling with 2% plant-based salicylic acid and a gel-like texture gently dissolves dead skin, regulates excess sebum production, and reduces enlarged pores. The BHA peeling deeply cleanses, has an anti-inflammatory effect, and reduces oily shine. This makes it ideal for acne, pimples, and blackheads. It prevents blemishes and supports the healing of acne scars. Green tea extract, aloe vera, and panthenol soothe the skin, relieve redness and irritation, and moisturize the skin. Combining the BHA peeling with our Azelain Serum is ideal for refining the skin's appearance and helping dark spots and acne scars disappear faster.

Salicylic acid (BHA) – antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, regenerating, effective against impurities and pimples, promotes the removal of dead skin cells and regeneration, skin lightening effect in cases of hyperpigmentation.
Organic green tea extract – relieves redness, inhibits inflammation, promotes the healing of acne scars, soothes irritated skin.
Organic Aloe Vera Gel – moisturizes, soothes the skin, improves wound healing, helps repair UV-induced skin damage.
Panthenol – provitamin B5, soothes the skin, anti-inflammatory, wound healing.

Compared to mechanical peelings, acid peelings are the most gentle method of improving the skin's appearance. While brushing or peelings with abrasive peeling particles put unnecessary strain on the skin, AHAs and BHAs are gentle and effective. Mechanical peeling particles can cause microscopic injuries due to their abrasive effect - often without you noticing immediately. Particularly sensitive skin can be damaged as a result, which in the long term leads to irritation and premature signs of skin aging.

Chemical peels with BHAs (beta hydroxy acids) and AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) support skin renewal by gently removing dead skin cells. This process slows down with age and due to harmful environmental influences.

Plus, exfoliation isn't just about removing dead skin cells. AHAs and BHAs also reduce the visible signs of sun damage and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The pH of this exfoliator is 3.6.

Tip: Always apply sunscreen after using a BHA or AHA peel. The acids used can increase the skin's sensitivity to the sun - and therefore the likelihood of sunburn or long-term damage from UV radiation.

Application

Apply the BHA peeling 1-2 times a week in the evening to the cleansed skin of the neck, face and décolleté with your hand or a cotton pad. Avoid the eye and mouth area. The peeling can be left on the skin or washed off after 15 minutes if you have sensitive skin. Please note that salicylic acid makes the skin more sensitive to UV radiation. Therefore, you should only use the BHA peeling in the evening and be sure to use a mineral sunscreen 30+ during the day!
