Tips for using myrto organic hair oils
Whether as a shine finisher, hair mask, anti-frizz treatment, or tip fluid to combat split ends: hair oils are truly multi-talented and extremely versatile. Hair oil isn't just useful when your hair feels dry, dull, or straw-like. A high-quality silicone-free hair oil is also the right choice if you're struggling with flyaways, static, split ends, or breakage.
Which hair oil is right for you?
For dull, unruly, or frizzy hair damaged by coloring or styling, you should opt for the regenerating Organic Summer Hair Oil. It contains macadamia oil, jojoba oil, babassu oil, olive squalane, and coconut oil. The effective combination of cold-pressed organic plant oils helps lock in moisture even in extremely dry, damaged, or frizzy hair.
If you have fine or thin hair, the Antistatic Hair Oil is the perfect choice. This lightweight oil serum has a silicone-like feel. It contains a light plant-based carrier oil based on organic coconut oil, along with a combination of organic argan oil and an antioxidant complex. The Antistatic Hair Oil tames flyaways, reduces frizz, and provides more shine, manageability, texture, and grip without weighing down the hair.
How can you use hair oils?
The correct application of a hair oil is crucial. This particularly applies to the timing of application, the exposure time, and the dosage of the oily elixir.
-
Leave-in hair treatment
Instead of a rich conditioner, you can apply the hair oil to damp hair after washing to strengthen the hair structure and lock in moisture. Take 1-3 drops of hair oil and work it into your top layer of hair, avoiding the roots by about a hand's width. Then style your hair as usual or let it air dry. -
Anti-Frizz Treatment
To tame static or flyaways, you can apply 1-3 drops of hair oil to damp or dry hair, depending on the thickness of your hair. Avoid applying it to the roots by about a hand's width. For fine hair, simply rub a drop of oil between your hands and then gently stroke over the flyaways. -
UV protection
The Summer Hair Oil is made from plant oils with a natural, light sunscreen. It protects your hair from excessive sun exposure. Additionally, the oily elixir, with its vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, also protects your hair from damage caused by sea or chlorinated water. -
Anti-split end care
Myrto hair oils protect your hair ends from split ends by smoothing the outer cuticle of the hair fiber, thus preventing breakage and dryness. To use, rub a drop of oil between your fingertips and gently massage it into your dry hair ends. -
Shine booster
Especially for damaged, curly, or coarse hair, you can finish your styling with a shine-enhancing hair oil. To do this, rub 1-3 drops of hair oil between your hands. For curly hair, work it in; for other hair types, run your hands through the styled lengths. As with the other treatments, avoid the roots by a hand's width. -
Pre-Shampoo Deep Conditioner
For this pre-shampoo treatment, you should comb your hair thoroughly before kneading the hair oil into the dry lengths and ends. Depending on your hair thickness, a few drops are sufficient; more may be needed for thicker hair. After at least 15 minutes of treatment, rinse your hair with a gentle shampoo. A second shampoo may be necessary to remove excess conditioning ingredients. -
Heat protection reinforcement
While myrto hair oils alone don't provide sufficient heat protection when using a hairdryer, straightener, or curling iron, they can be further enhanced with myrto Bio Finisher Gels. To achieve this, work 1-3 additional drops of oil serum into damp or dry hair after applying the finisher gel before heat styling. -
Fixing the hair color after coloring
After coloring with natural hair dyes or chemical colorants, you can also use myrto hair oil to better fix the color. To do this, gently massage the hair oil drop by drop into towel-dried hair, paying particular attention to the lengths and ends. After 30–60 minutes, rinse the hair oil out with a mild organic shampoo.
It's not always easy to find the right dosage for each application right away – depending on your hair length and thickness. Too much hair oil, especially at the roots, weighs down your hair, leaves your roots looking flat and greasy, and waves or curls quickly become loose. So, work your way up to the right dosage and application very carefully: less is more.
