Introduction / Brief description
Salicylic acid (INCI: Salicylic Acid ) is a proven exfoliating ingredient for the care of impure skin, acne, blackheads, and oily skin. The purely plant-based salicylic acid we use is sustainably sourced from the berries of the wintergreen shrub (Gaultheria procumbens). As a so-called beta-hydroxy acid (BHA), salicylic acid has the ability to penetrate pores , loosen dead skin cells, and reduce calluses . At the same time, it has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and sebum-regulating effects. Salicylic acid is also used to treat various skin conditions such as psoriasis.
Effect on the skin
