Babassu oil (INCI: Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil ) is a light, fast-absorbing oil extracted from the nuts of the babassu palm. It moisturizes, soothes, and is anti-inflammatory, protecting the skin barrier—without a greasy residue. Due to its excellent tolerability, babassu oil is ideal for sensitive, blemished, or dry skin—even during pregnancy or baby care.
Origin & Production
This natural organic babassu oil comes from the hard fruits of the wild babassu palm in the Brazilian Amazon. The stone fruits are harvested by hand, and the oil is cold-pressed, decanted, and mechanically filtered – without heat or chemical additives. This preserves all of its valuable ingredients. Babassu oil is solid at room temperature and melts on the skin to form a nourishing, non-greasy oil.

Origin & social commitment
Our babassu oil comes from a fair trade project run by the women's cooperative COPPALI in northeastern Brazil. Around 500 families rely on the sustainable use of the babassu palm. The "babassu crackers" receive prices up to 40% higher than on the local market. The entire tree is used – from wood to fiber to pulp – in harmony with nature.
