Introduction / Brief description
Schizandra (INCI: Schizandra Sphenanthera Fruit Extract ) is a natural CO₂ extract from the red berries of the Asian climbing plant. In traditional Far Eastern medicine, Schizandra has been valued for centuries for its detoxifying, anti-inflammatory, and adaptogenic effects. The berries are considered the "fruit of five flavors": sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and spicy.
Origin & Production
The schizandra berries are wild-harvested in Asia. The CO₂ extract we use is extracted using particularly gentle methods to preserve the sensitive active ingredients – especially the active ingredient schizandrin – in their purest form and at the highest concentration. Wild-harvesting guarantees the highest quality without any pesticide or heavy metal residues.
