Paracress extract (INCI: Spilanthes Acmella Extract ) is a highly effective, plant-based active ingredient derived from the flowers of the South American plant Acmella oleracea . The main active ingredient, spilanthol —a natural alkaloid—relaxes the skin's fine facial muscles. Thus, the extract contributes to a visibly smoother, more relaxed skin surface—all without injections. Studies show that spilanthol reduces micro-tension in the facial muscles, thereby reducing expression lines and evening the skin's texture.
Origin & Production
Our paracress is sustainably cultivated in Brazil and Peru. The extract is preferably obtained using a cold-vacuum process, which eliminates the use of high temperatures or chemical solvents. This preserves the sensitive alkamides – especially spilanthol – in the highest concentration. The result is a pure, bioactive ingredient with maximum skin compatibility.
