Certified Organic Cultivation

Lucuma is a subtropical stone fruit from the South American Andes. The drought-resistent tree with its pear-shaped, bright yellow fruits grows up to 20 m high. Originally from Peru, the Lucuma tree is also growing wild in Chile and Ecuador. Lucuma was already highly estimated as a remedy for badly healing wounds in ancient Inca times.

Lucuma is characterized by an extremely high content of nutrients and antioxidants:

  • rich in cell protecting carotenoids such as beta-carotene (converted into skin-tightening vitamin A in the body) and vitamin C

  • naturally high levels of zinc, effective against viruses and bacteria, essential for healthy skin and good immune defense

  • contains a high dosage of vitamin B3 (niacin): stimulates collagen production, inhibits inflammation, reduces redness, regenerates skin damage, for firm and healthy skin

According to recent studies, Lucuma's carotenoids improve the skin's natural UV-protection and help to repair sun-damaged tissue. The high content of antioxidants reduces blackheads and counteracts acne. Lucuma keeps the skin smoothed and slows down the skin aging process.
