You have probably already noticed that there is no special myrto men's care range. In this post we explain why this is so - namely why all products and sets are unisex, i.e. equally suitable for men and women.
What is the difference between men's and women's skin?
Because of their higher testosterone levels, men have around 15-20% thicker skin than women. Men's skin has a higher proportion of well-linked collagen fibers. This more stable skin support structure has the advantage that men's skin has a higher elasticity. Women's skin, on the other hand, is generally thinner and tends to develop small wrinkles more quickly. Visible wrinkles as a "sign of the times" usually appear later in men.
Stimulated by testosterone, men have increased sebum production. Men's skin produces around twice as much sebum a day as women's skin, which has far fewer sebum glands. Men therefore have to struggle more often with coarse-pored, oily skin and impurities.
The shaving area on the face is particularly stressed by men. Daily shaving exposes the skin to increased irritation, which can lead to irritation, redness or razor pimples.
Do Men Really Need Special Face Care Products?
While in the past only soap and water were mostly used for male facial care, this has changed radically. It is now known that the vast majority of soaps consist of aggressive surfactants that wash away the protective skin oils. They attack the skin barrier and dry out the skin. While men’s awareness of the importance of good facial care is growing, the focus is no longer on choosing a typically masculine fragrance. Rather, it is about high-quality, natural active ingredients for long-term healthy men's skin with a youthful radiance.
The skin type is decisive
Even if the male skin is around 15% thicker and slightly more oily than the female skin, it basically has the same needs. And these depend on the skin type and the individual skin texture of each person. If the skin type is right, men can therefore easily use skin care products for women and of course vice versa.

- Beard oil - is the perfect care for the beard and the skin underneath.
